Hello friends. Did a video talking about some of my thoughts on diets commonly recommended for digestive issues like:
FODMAP
Specific carbohydrate
Keto
Carnivore
These get passed around as universal “solutions” to digestive issues with the faulty assumptions that diets are one-size-fits-all and don’t require any personalization.
To be clear, I’m not saying these diets are bad or wrong. I just think they’re in complete.
I think they’re a good starting point or framework, but they lack a lot of the personalization that’s needed.
I touched on some of the common problematic foods I focus on avoiding/limiting, the foods I prioritize, important factors I consider and some examples of common issues that require specific dietary adjustments.
Nutrition, when it comes to resolving acute digestive issues, is subjective, not objective.
Hope this is helpful.
Also, please excuse the set up and noise… currently traveling with limited space but trying to keep that light environment optimal ;)
